4x card in 8x Slot

the 8X AGP slots are backward comapitable with 4X. but I would think twice before buying anything from PC chips.

Out of curiosity why's that? And could you recommend any other mobo for under $50 that supports the 333mhz. FSB?
 
Is PC Chips still in business? Someone told me a couple of months ago that they either had already(or were about to) go out of business. Also, PC Chips doesn't have a very good reputation. I've not had a lot of dealings with them but I have never heard anything good about them from anyone who has.
 
i would recommend the ecs k7s5a pro. from what i read it is an excellent board. however, the biostar nforceII mobo is only liek 59 on newegg

3 stellar nforce2 mobos in the $50-60 and is a hella lot better than either the ecs or pc chips. pc chips now rilli makes boards for oems. and with their merger with ecs, they are the world's second largest computer component supplier behind asus
