6800GT OC (AGP) glitch

I have recently installed a (brand-new) BFG Tech GeForce 6800GT OC in my system. I am having a small discrepency. Ever since the card was installed, I am getting these annoying little "speckles" on the screen. There may be 4-8 specs on the screen at once. They tend to be red and green. How do I fix this and is my new card defective? I hope not.
