a bit about yourself...

Ok I'll finally get over my shyness and just post here already...

The name's Donovan, and don't forget it...My 15th birthday is in like a month or something...I dunno.

I first got interested in (then) 3DS when I read a news story on a site, it linked to a story here. I read the 3DS news every day, until I discovered the forum. I browsed the forum for like 4-5 weeks, before I finally joined, and started posting :D

I first got interested in computers when my dad & I built a computer when I was 10. Ever since I've been fascinated with them, until about a year and a half ago, when he gave me the one we built :D I did a bunch of boring stuff like play games and stuff for maybe 4 weeks, until I finally got access to the internet...at a whopping 28k...Which I still have now :dead:

I have 3 sisters, first one is 26, and she's a doctor at John's Hopkins hospital, the second is 21 and she's a waitress at an Italian restaurant in Seattle, and the third's a very annoying 3¾ year old :dead:

Currently it's summertime so I'm not doing very much...just leeching alot now that I'm at my dad's house in SoCal (he has DSL :D)
School starts in <2 weeks, I'll be in 10th grade, which isn't fun, but then again, hey that's life :D

My name is James and I am a 24 year old computer geek. I started in computers when I was about 12. I started learning on an 8086 with Wordperfect 5.1, DOS 3.5, QBASIC and BASICA programming and quite a lot of x86 Assembler later on when I graduated to a 486 SX25 mhz with 4 mb of RAM.

I currently live in Indiana, USA and I am studying in the field of Information Technology. I hold certifications in NT4, Windows 2000 (1 test left until MCSE;2 for MCDBA), CompTIA A+ and Network+. I will soon be taking my certification exams for Sun Solaris 2.8 Administration, LPI Level 1 (Linux Professional Institute) and RHCE.

Windows XP is my favorite operating system for the time being - although I really enjoy RedHat and Debian Linux.

I'm an avid gamer, and my favorite game of all time would have to be Quake 3 Arena. I enjoy playing console games such as Gran Turismo 3, and all of the Final Fantasy RPG's.

I play guitar off and on. I have been playing guitar ever since I started playing with computers. I'm much better at playing on a computer than I am playing on a guitar though :D

I drive a 2000 Toyota Celica GT-S
