Is it possible, if you're building your own laptop, to use PC materials (HDs, motherboards, etc.) inside an Apple case? If that question doesn't make sense, I'll put it this way. I like the looks of Apple computers and laptops, but like the insides of PCs (Intel processors, ASUS motherboards, Western Digital HDs, etc.). I always wanted to combine the two. If I am making my own laptop, can I combine the two?

I wonder if its possible to combine the two.

As long as you find enough space for the hardware (AND the cooling), there should be no problem. It might be difficult to find a PC mobo with the connectors (monitor, network, printer etc.) matching the openings in the case. I don't know if the Apple-screen is pin-compatible with a PC-screen. The same goes for the keyboard.
Get a derelict Apple laptop, and start practising on that, before you spend your money on a "life" one.
