Keeping up with their monthly update cycle, AMD has announced that version 9.6 of the Catalyst graphics driver pack for Radeon cards is now available for download. As usual, there are a number of bug fixes and enhancements in this release, which is available for Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP in their 32-bit and 64-bit variants. According to the company, the primary advantage of the new drivers is a speed boost, with titles Company of Heroes and World in Conflict seeing some significant gains of up to 30 percent.

Performance improvements are also mentioned for Crysis and Crysis Warhead in CrossFireX configurations. Aside from these frame rate gains, the new package also carries fixes related to the Catalyst Control Center and a few miscellaneous other bugs. You can check out the full release notes (in PDF format) for all the details or choose the appropriate OS below to get the latest Catalyst driver release.

They promised driver updates for legacy cards (my GPU has been out only for 2.5 and they declare my card legacy...) every three months.
This month we were supposed to get a driver update.

Guess what? It's coming next month according to a moderator at the official AMD forums: http://forums.amd.com/game/messageview.cfm?catid=279&threadid=114735&enterthread=y ...

How do I install new drivers? like this:
-Uninstall my current Drivers and Catalyst Control Center
-Restart PC
-Install New Drivers(downloaded)
-Then restart again? Or what?
Google is no help...
would Appreciate it if Someone had a Good Detailed post about updating graphic card drivers
