Also, is there any NEED to increase cooling with any of these cards, especially if they are modified? My new case will have 1 120mm fan. Thanks!

Well if the Sapphire is verified as the 256bit you could take the risk. I did recently read a review of the BFG Tech GeForceFX 5900XT OC card. With it being slightly overclocked by default it give as good and sometimes better performance than the 9600XT.

HardOCP review
The BFG GeForceFX 5900XT OC is very stable video card that produces very fast framerates and overclocks well as our game evaluations have shown. Its only weakness is its slightly less than stellar IQ compared to the competition, but that is not the fault of BFG, but rather the 5900 GPU and or drivers. BFG Tech has put together a very solid video card. They have clocked it higher for the gamer so that you can experience faster performance without having to do any overclocking yourself. BFG Tech also extends a free 24/7/365 tech support system and a lifetime warranty which is extremely appealing. Another beauty of having a "Pre-OCed" card like the BFG Tech 5900XT OC is that your warranty is not voided when the manufacturer OCs your video card for you. If you are in the market for a mainstream video card, the BFG Tech GeForceFX 5900XT OC should definitely be your short list. It is easily the top contender for any NVIDIA fan looking to buy in the mainstream price point.

They do admit that the image quality of the ATI products are still better. And I think its a safe decision to go for ATI over Nvidia at the moment. We will see if this changes when the next products come out (NV40 and R420 graphic cores).

The reason we don't have a classified forum here is mostly because of administrating it and people giving bad press to the site if they get burned in a private deal. Even if the site states that it takes no responsibility for a "SALE" forum it still could reflect badly on the site.

PS: I'm currently overclocking my ATI 9800 with its stock cooling. Most results of passive cooling on the memory on cards show little benefit but many have put old Pentium heatsinks onto the cards (at the expense of a PCI bay :D ) and managed higher core overclocks. Stock cooling should be fine for softmodding an 9800SE. Only if you try and overclock its core and memory by a large amount would you need better cooling for it.

Please keep us updated on how you get on with this PC and if you have any problems don't hesitate to post a question :D

Holy cow! I just realized this eBay seller has 0 feedback but lives 5 miles from me! I could save $10 on shipping and get it for $140. What do you think?

I just bought the 9600XT w/cooler for $140 and am picking it up today. As soon as newegg delivers I can get started on the build. I am WAY psyched. Thanks to all - especially MrG (you too Arris) - I will keep you posted on how it goes. All the Best...
