so far everything seems fine.
just a few questions:

1.) after AIM is loaded, should "aolload.exe" still be running? I don't recall seeing it run before.
2.) aolsoftware.exe registers as 0 CPU. [GREAT], and 8,328k mem usage. Normal, right?
3.) aim6.exe registers at 30,364k memory usage. thats fine too, right?

Just curious. [:
It peaked once to 90% and the computer hung, but after a restart everything seems fine.

**Will update again**

Here`s the lowdown on Aolload.exe.

As you can see it`s perfectly safe.

I`ve never used Aim, nor Aol myself, so don`t really know what it`s resource handling should be. However, I do use Yahoo messenger and it uses 41,400k on my system which seems fine to me.

In other words, don`t worry about it.

As to your computer hang, it could have just been a glitch. Unless it keeps happening, again, don`t worry too much.

im starting to doubt something on my system =?

Right, uninstall Aim and try using an older version. See if that helps.

it seems as though it tends to freeze on its own.. and then improper shut down on my behalf.
any ideas?

I think you need to post this particular problem in a new thread in our Misc Software & Utilities forum.

Okay, I just did that.
Thank you very much Mr. Howard. [:

I hope I get this solved.
Do you think software is conflicting?
