A Santa Clara Sheriff’s Office spokesperson has confirmed that an Apple employee was found dead in a room at the company’s Cupertino, California, headquarters Wednesday morning according to ABC News 7 via Business Insider.

Sergeant Andrea Urena said during a press conference that police received a call around 8:35 a.m. of a person down at 1 Infinite Loop, Apple’s headquarters. Officers responding to the call found a single male down who was determined to be deceased. Further investigation revealed there were no other people involved.

Urena said the Santa Clara County Coroner would conduct an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. She described the death as an isolated event, adding that nobody else on campus or in the nearby vicinity is at risk. What’s more, Apple’s campus is open and isn’t under lockdown.

Earlier reports claimed that a woman, not a man, had suffered a head wound, possibly from a gunshot. Others reported a gun was found near the body. Urena acknowledged that there are conflicting reports out but said she couldn’t release anything more about the manner or cause of death, weapons that may or may not be involved or anything like that.

As of writing, Apple has yet to release a statement on the matter.

So instead of saying what actually happened they will let the rumor mill run wild and let anyone who's no one make any stupid suggestion about how or what happened.

So why not start one, the man was working late into the night when a woman tried to seduce him, unfortunately he had face-time running, or whatever Apple calls it, with his wife who saw the whole ordeal and divorced him immediately. The man than pulled out a gun from his desk (don't need to explain this, because America) and shot himself in the face, THE FACE. The end.

On a brighter note, now there is a new spot for an ex[Intel/Tesla] employee. Someone should have explained the phrase was shooting yourself in the foot. And the phrase wasn't meant to be taken literally.

First a revenue decline and now a dead person. Can't be good for ole Apple.

Well, if the event was as bad or worse than the rumors, it makes sense to say nothing, and let the people creating the rumors start to think they're the ones blowing it out of proportion. After that, all it would take is an iPad to everyone in the ME's office, a Mac Book Pro for the chief of the Cupertino Police Dept., and it sounds like natural causes to me...(y);)
They wanted to personally deliver the revenue report to Steve Jobs.
I don't think that's very nice of you, assuming this poor person went straight to hell...:D

Maybe that unfortunate employee found Apples price list, share prices and wotnot, compared it to their payslip and collapsed in shock.
