Are there still a lot of people that do hardware reviews like before?

The times may not be the way it was before but I remember number of guys in college that did computer hardware reviews.

What is pay like today? Where do you get money to buy different computers and hardware stuff to do the different reviews?

Do you work for some one or alone? What is the pay like and where do you start? What to review and what not to review.

Part of that comes from being a direct tester for company, evga, msi, corsair will do that from time to time.
Long as you can prove you do any type of technical computer work, know your stuff and willing to give honest reviews.
That is how you would get that, this guy here does alot of hardware reviews based on what he gets.
