Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 RTX 5080 Review: A Gorgeous OLED Laptop

This generation of laptops is such a huge disappointment...

Not to mention the fact that large OEMs like Asus are restricting AMD to old chassis/tech/cooling and at max a 5070 ti. The 16 inch ROG Zephyrus G16 and Rog Strix have only Intel variants for the 5080/5090 GPUs.

Now we know why only Laptops with Intel CPU are hosting 5080m and 5090m...

Nvidia told the OEM not to use AMD CPUs because of their deal with Intel.
This is so scummy... where is Tims to denounce this?

Love that Asus gave it an LED strip on the lid. Nothing says stealthy portable gaming like a light show that screams "please mug me."

Thank goodness lenovo just announced a 7 pro model with either 9955hx/5070ti OR 9955hx3d/5080. You can get Msi models with AMD too, I've just discovered the stealth versions that rival blade and zephyrus

Only about 8 months late for the most popular laptop brand in the world...

As for MSI, they're one of the few who actually made AMD laptops, but it's not a laptop brand I would go for. The Stealth does come with it's own issues. And I'm avoiding completely Asus because of even bigger issues coming to light now :)

This should be an interesting read for you:

TL;DR Asus software (firmware) is causing major slowdowns and CPU hitches that are OS agnostic on all gaming laptops since 2021.

All the specs and a gimpyarse keyboard.. It's always something that engineers get wrong..

From one fellow gamer to another, I truly appreciate that u register where the benchmarks were run inside the games, great work ty.
