I purchased an asus u30jc laptop / notebook in May 2011, due to circumstances I opened the box in Oct 2011, a number of keyboard keys are not working very well,
Called ASUS support, they suggested an ATK driver solutiion, this mproved it a bit but it's still not working.
This problem looks like a partial hardware / firmware / driver problem ?
After the ATK update, there is currently some improvement, but the current solution is drivinng many asus users crazy. Instead of keys not workig at all, they are displayed sometimes or often multiple times.
Corrections are a little bit easier now, no need to type a key 10 or 20 times, to see it once, but I had to corrrect this post about 40 to 50 times.
Any improvements, suggestions ?
What I did so far is :
goto support.asus.com website
cllick downnload
type your laptop type, eg u30jc
selct search result, eg u30jc
select operatig system (eg winn 7)
select ATK driver
select globbal (nnot dlm version)
install the driver (setup)
REsult is somewhat less prolematic, but too many errors left.
Whe I type more slowly, less problems, otherwise much more prolems.
This looks like a serious ASUS laptop / noteook prolem, ASUS cannot deal with, despite the fact it seems to exist for quite some years ( Google )
Well, other suggestionns ?
the b n c and spacebar, also a few other keys are very probblematic
