Automatic updates looping between two patches

In Windows 7 the following 2 updates keep looping: KB2416400 and KB972260
After installing one and rebooting the machine the second is installed and the machine is rebooted, and then the first one is installed and the process keeps repeating.

I would try removing the updates from add/remove software, and then reboot and try again.

I don't know the answer but i was curious so i did a quick google and seems KB2416400 is causing many people similar grief. So, if nothing else, i'd guess MS will likely fix it by next patch release (?).

So i'd say remove/ignore them for right now and wait a week maybe?
