Autorun failures in Sims 2 Deluxe

I recently bought Sims 2 Double Deluxe. it comes with sims nightlife and the regular sims and a DVD. And when i let the CD run it comes up with a Player where you can go into different doors, click on different plumbbobs etc, all video music playing etc, but not option to actually install the game. When I opened and looked the auto run file it shows
[autorun]
open=sims.exe
icon=sim2.ico. I tried manually installing. and the rightclick on the "Install" Button under The AutoRun. And it never ever shows up with an installing option. I am very confused. I've followed the packet's instructions and everything.

I had the same problem. Apparently, some versions of The Sims 2 Double Deluxe came with a "bonus DVD" that had extras on it, along with a separate disk with the actual game. The bonus disk is the one you are using. To play the actual game, you will need to use the game disk.
