On Fri I bought the AVG 8.0 antivirus from Office Depot. The first thing I tried to do after installation was update my virus database,my internet explorer said that the "connection failed". I thought AVG.com site was down cause every website I go too I have no problems pulling up but EVERYTHING related to AVG.com will NOT show up. I am connected to the internet thru a sprint pc modem card for my laptop. Why can I not go to [avg.com?] Does anyone know because it will not do any updates I have turned firewalls off and back on thinking it was blocked went to tools and advanced settings all that but nothing works!

Hi

dont wont to sound stupid but have you actually contacted AVG about the issue, they have their own customer support line here.

=====================================================

If you cannot reach microsoft - then try downloading the MSRT from one of their Microsoft's content delivery network server => http://mscom-dlcecn.vo.llnwd.net/do...F-860B-5B397199CBF8/windows-kb890830-v2.6.exe

After the MSRT runs, then you should be able to update AVG and scan.

After AVG is updated and ran you should follow our preliminary removal instructions -> https://www.techspot.com/community/...lware-removal-preliminary-instructions.58138/

oh yeah i forgot to mention, i installed avast and couldnt reach their website, until i rebooted then it worked fine.
