Battlefront on Vista

i try to play battlefront on vista, i have all the updates working and the game starts but when i do campaign it crashes, what do i do to get it to work (also it worked b4 i got patch 1.2 might this be relevant?)

You should probably change the compatibility mode to XP or older OS.

it still doesnt work, it tells me about a buffer overrun and i dont quite know what that means

Maybe the patch was corrupted somehow. Uninstall it and try downloading it from another source. If it won't uninstall separately, you may have to uninstall the whole game and start over.
