Beeps every 5 minutes

Hello,

My computer generates that Windows tone that signifies the completion of a task, every 5 minutes, when it is on.

It just started doing this yesterday. The only changes to my system were the installation of the MSFT Junk Mail filter and Malicious Software removal tool. A Dell tech updated my monitor driver but Dell says there is no connection.

I don't, knowingly, have any alarms or reminders set. All thoughts will be appreciated.

Well, you could take some time and watch Task Manager for 6 minutes and see what's running.

A little utility cycled every 300 seconds.
