my computer used to be very quick at booting up i have reformated the hard drive 3 months ago which took it back to working fast removed programs i dont se and took out tasks in the task bar i dont use! my computer takes ages to load up after i enter the password im not sure what i could do to make it load faster? maybe needs more ram for all the programs i use?

Things that cause slow startup-

1.Too many legitimate programs loading with Windows.
2.Too many ILLegitimate programs loading with Windows(SPYWARE)
3.Extreme fragmentation
4.Failing disk.

Solutions-

1.Go to msconfig uncheck all startup programs except Firewall, and AV
2.Full spyware scan in SAFE MODE
3.Defragment.
4.Scandisk.

It might be an idea to create a new account, and see how quickly that loads.
