I was able to do a search on what you gave me and it is a Dynapower. They have poor quality and I highly doubt it is providing your system what it needs. Just because a psu claims a certain amount of so and so doesn't mean it is.

Give us your system specs especially your video card and a budget to work with an we should be able to find you a good psu at a good price.

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3.0GHZ
RAM: CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
Video Card: Nvidia 8600GT Overclocked 512MB
Hard Drive: 250GB Western Digital
MoBo: MSI K9NBPM2-FID

that video card is toast by the way

Ugh! Sorry to hear about your video card. Those 8600 though old were decent enough but you can do better. By the way, good system. You really do need a solid dependable power supply for that excellent harware of yours.

Do you have a budget?

I have a tiny budget, maybe 150-200$ for both a video card and a psu. I definently don't need the best, just something to get the job done

I tried running the game off of my mainboard graphics card and it managed to run, but I'm still getting the crash, although most of the time the screen goes black and says "out of range" or the screen freezes with black and white pixels. I've only gotten one bluescreen since I've been running on mainboard graphics and it was a ntfs.sys system error. I'm pretty much just making sure I've diagnosed the right problem and it's not something like my motherboard or my hard drive.

Thanks
