BSOD Error D1 but only on VATSIM

Hello folks.

I've searched the forum but can't find anything pertinent to my particular problem.

I've been flying online with MSFS since forever with no problem but now I have one.

For the last few days, within 30seconds to 30minutes of connecting to VATSIM I get the dreaded BSOD. Driver_IRQL_ 0x000000d1. No filename is delineated.

I've changed nothing in either hardware or software.

Nothing else is affected. I can go online with the Internet, MS Outlook etc.

I can fly MSFS offline till the cows come home.

It only happens when I connect it to VATSIM.

Any suggestions would be most welcome as I really don't know where to start looking.

Hello smundye
Next post attach some minidumps...
You will find them in the minidump subfolder of your windows folder.
3 or 4 should be enough ...
also provide some information about your hardware and operating system.

OK BOOkWyrm, will do and thanks for reply..

What system specs do you need that are not already in my post?

BTW, I can fly online with FSHost, even as the host, no problem. It's just VATSIM that gives me the BSOD.

Well, I'm starting to wonder if Bill Gates was to blame!!

After a week of being totally unable to complete a flight online, for the last two days not an error in sight. Four VATSIM flights completed since Friday, each over 2 hours long.

RSIT tells me that a Microsoft update installed a few hours before the problem started and that a further massive MS update of six programs, including a 'Roll-up', occured shortly before the problem just disappered!

So, fingers crossed, I think we can put this one in the 'problem solved' category.
