BSOD upon normal startup

That is ok, purpose of this exercise is to rid your computer of any unwanted elements (e.g. Viruses/malware/trojans etc.).

Kindly do remember that your hardware issue with regard to graphics is a separate thing, for which I've already given my recommendations to you.

hey dude, i finally fixed my computer, it was a graphics card issue, i followed the dude who was helping me with the virus removals instructions, but everytime i ran combofix it would pretty much freeze up on me, so today i bought a 2tb external and a pny geforce 8400 gs video card for a decent price at a best buy. uninstalled the old driver software, and display drivers, rebooted, and installed the new drivers for the new card and rebooted again, and my comp worked! so im mad excited. as of now, im transferring all my music, photos, and movies from my old 300gb driver to my 2tb, and after i finish gonna do a clean reinstall of XP

thanks for all the help brotha!!! ill be on and off the forums, as i have fixed a few computers myself, and they have been simple solutions, but there will be a time where i need to come back with a major issue

Glad to hear that vga replacement have done the trick; goodluck and take care. Regards
