BSOD when logging in with no admin rights

I've never seen anything like this in my 6 years of tech support.

A user on a Lenovo T400s, Win XP, experiences the BSOD when he attepts to log in with no admin rights. We're currently in the process of locking down our environment and yanking away rights from about 90% of the environment.

So when logging on with my account, and then another tech's account....no issues. Of course - both of us have full rights as tech support. I have two other users (non-tech) log on....BSOD for both of them.

Restore the original user's admin rights.....he's in. No prob. It has me stumped. I want to save re-imaging the laptop as a last resort as it was done a few months ago by a different tech (and I believe it was for the same issue). Obviously it was a temp fix.

Anyone ever seen a non-admin BSOD?

I also forgot to mention that once I log on right after this user's unsuccessful attempt, I get a prompt that "there was an issue with winlogon.exe."
