Burning Video question

Hey fellas,

Hope someone can explain this for me.
I sometimes go to YouTube.com to download a video, then after, burn the video onto a CD-R. Simple procedure and it worked.
When I play it back on my DVD Player, it comes up as a VCD file and plays fine.

Now, all of a sudden, they are coming up as DVD files and will play the video but there is no sound!
Why would this change take place all of a sudden? And why the change in file formatting?
I'm using the same CD Burner and same DVD Player.

What program are you using to burn your CD videos? Someone may have changed the recording/burning settings without you knowing. Check them.

Hello Almcneil,
I checked the settings and tried to use a different burner ,but got the same results.
I always use H.T.Fireman [old but works] and I tried using Deep Burner.

i thought youtube had blocking/encoding software that stopped folks downloading from it?!
