Buyers Beware!

  1. One of our readers posted a very interesting piece on the forums commenting about his bad experience with an online retailer (GoogleGear) and more specifically with the bad documentation available for PowerColor branded videocards.

While I have never bought from GoogleGear before, I have heard some good stories however you will want to take a look to what our reader has got to say first.

Apparently this PowerColor branded board was being advertised as a Radeon 9700 Pro card however as soon as our reader got his product he noticed the lower than default clock speeds, then when he complained he was told he had got a 'lite' board hence the lower speeds.

While this is something specific to PowerColor boards (from what our readers say), GoogleGear updated the product page accordingly after the complains but refused to accept the board as a full return, read here the full story.
