By pasing windows XP pro login password?

Hi,

My partner has a compaq laptop in which she has had for many years. Just recently she changed her windows login password. For some reason the password she thought she changed it too doesn't work and neither does her old password. Now she can not use her laptop as she is unable to login.

I've tried some suggestions like pressing ctrl, alt and the delete button twice but this didn't work for me. I've also tried holding down the F8 and selected start windows normally but it still came to the login screen asking for user password.

Is there anyway of getting around the windows XP pro login password???

Any help will be extremely appreciated.

Boot into safe mode and log in as the administrator user. Hopefully you know the password for that
