Hello everyone,
I am having guests over for the weekend and I know they will be wanting to use my computer to check thier email and stuff.
Is there a way I can "lock up" my folders in case someone wants to get "snoopy"?
Thank you,
Dennis

Can't you get around the locking just by creating a guest account with limited rights?

Well, I have never actually locked a folder, but you can hide a folder.

Right click the desired folder, and click properties. Under the general tab, there should be a section called attributes. You should be able to select an option to make the folder hidden. This works on Windows 7, but I am not sure on earlier operating systems. To find the folder again, do a search.

I am pretty sure that's how you do it, but I am at school on Windows XP.

Also, I agree with Benny26. A guest account would work well.
