can not access network computer by name...

i got two xp pro on my network. both firewalls are turned off, both are in same workgroup, both have enabled option under "My computer-->tools-->folder options-->view-->simple file sharing", both have some files shared but...but...but i can not access either of the computer from either side from My Network Places.

THOUGH, I can access both from both side if i type
\\192.168.1.2\
\\192.168.1.3\

I dont know why is that???? anybody got an idea???

I would disable simple file sharing
re-enable firewall and add file and network sharing setting under exceptions.
I am new to xp so ??
I am having problems with remoting
one minute I had it the next it was gone

use the TOOL menu to Map Network Drive. This will allow you to browse into the
respective system (if the setup is correct) to select the specific SHARE of your choice.
After that, life gets easier

i tried to map the hard drive but it doesnt detect other computer but as i said i can if i type in \\192.168.1.2\
