Can't even access my bios on startup

  1. Not sure what happened to my computer but now everytime that i start it up, it just freezes on the first screen. It's the screen that has the options to press <esc> for boot menu <F10> for setup and <F11> for system recovery, when this screen shows up, nothing happens. I cant even press <f10> to access the bios settings, could it be my bios is corrupted? It is AwardBios v6.00PG.

And my computer is a Compaq presario,
    Amd Athlon Dual core 4000,
    EVGA nvidia 8800GT video card
    2gigs of RAM.

Should i assume the bios is broken? it doesnt seem to get past the POST stage.
I have taken my ram out as well as my video card, and battery, put them back in, but still nothing happens, if i mash the F10 key as it starts up, it will say entering set-up, but it won't ever enter it.

Edit: There are no beepcodes that i can hear.

Either faulty HardDrive (even CD/DVD Drive or cabling) or faulty Ram (at a guess)

Did you do anything to it recently? Install anything? Any power interruptions?
