Cant print from mac .never had problem before

Hi ive reinstall printer restarted everything checked cables. The printer still say idle. I don't know what to do as I cant print. Any help advice would be great. On printing que its say filter failed please help

Hmm; OS version, make/model of the printer. I guess it's a wired connection by your comment.

Hi yes its wired via USB make of printer oki c711. I've had issues with the printer there is constant red ligth which is on. Which isn't normal. I've checked for paper issuse like jam. Normal would say. Its send to the printer but saying printing -fliter failed. The mac I have is macros Catalina version. 10.15.2.

Hmm; The printer red light is the issue -- it's internal to the device.

open everything and be sure it doesn't have anything jamming. then power it off and disconnect from the Mac. Power it back on still disconnected -- red light still?

Then the device needs repair. I would opt for another purchase/replacement
