Can't see computer on network

I have three computers running xp pro with sp2. I have had them networked before, but after reformating my computer, it cannot be seen from any of the other computers. I can't share files, but if i open itunes on it, the other computers can share music through itunes. Why can't i share files?

what firewall are you running?

On the MS default FW, click the Exception Tab

check the Print/File Sharing box
click OK until it closes​

View Entire Network -> dbl-click MS Windows Network

dbl-click click Workgroup (Mshome or whatever shows up)
all system names should showup
click the Explorer Menu FOLDERS and you get [+] on each name
click the [+] and it expands to show all known Shared folders on Each system.​

i did that and even tried disabling windows firewall. I have the same settings and software on all the computers. I have set up the network in my house multiple times and have never had a problem like this.
