Can't uninstall MS Office 97 Pro from original disk

Hi all, this is my first post and have a big problem. I have MS Office 97 pro installed on my XP machine and I can't uninstall it. When I go to add/remove programs it asks for my original disk. So I insert my original disk and it doesn't give me an option to uninstall. I can only change options, there is no uninstall option on the disk. Help!

Others probably could give you a more knowleageable work-around but I found that CCleaner's Tool option to be able to initialize uninstall when I ran into the same issue you are now experiencing. Only once did it fail to initialize the uninstall.
