While my now injured friend :)wave: ) was laptop sitting, he desided to enable power-on password, and cnange my windows log-on password. He then forgot what the log-on was. Did I say only injured? I tried entering what he thought it may be then gave up. Maybe a week later I go to give it another shot and now when the I try to enter the power-on password, the keys seem to stick, when I try to push P it types two or more. All the keys do this, it won't allow me to backspace and when max space is used it beeps. What the heck is going on? How do I fix it?

how much do you like your friend....

i would personally try removing the keyboard and make sure all the contacts are cleaned and refit it then try again,

As well as this you can remove the bios battery on the laptop that will remove any passwords on boot up, and login as Adminsitrator in XP to remove the password in control panel
