A windows XP system has a problem with the clipboard. It will accept a copy just the once and then refuse to accept a new copy; attempts to copy after the first copy do not copy the text into the clipboard and pasting just pastes the contents of the first copy. A reboot clears this as does the delete command in the clipboard viewer.
This appears to happen most often when copying to or from emails handled by Windows Live Mail.
Any ideas anyone? Is this an issue with the Mail handler or with clipboard?

Thanks for the reply - clearing the clipboard viewer does solve the immediate problem but not the fact that the clipboard will not take a new input.
