compuer seizure please help!!

someone in my house decided no only to come into my room, but also to go on my computer while they where in here. there was n case tv media zsearch and all other kinds of poop on here i went through and tried as much as i could possibly think of. my explorer stops responding and when it is actually on i am getting pop ups. I also have mozilla installed but i choose only to use it for visiting certain sites i know my ie doesn't respond to. can anyone help me?? please if it helps at all i can post a copy og my log file from hijackthis

sevrdurtorso: In general, I recommend using both programs (and I think most people here would too.) Each detects a set of applications, and they aren't the same set.

Also, you might look into Trend Microsystem's Housecall- a free online virus scanner. Virus scanners are unique- you can't run two at once usually, and of course they detect different things as well. So disable your current AV, then run that, see if it picks up anything new.

In the hijack this log, I see nothing of particular worry, other than maybe the sysupd.exe. And that could very well be legitimate too.

Can you provide us with any more details as to what sorts of ads you see, by what companies, or what URL you have forced onto you at start?

ReEdit: Yes, that is definately spyware. My dumb *** just googled for it alone, got redirected, and infected. *sigh* Now to test if spybot catches it...

EditReEdit: It appears spybot caught that.. but we'll see as time goes on.
