Computer booting problem

Dear Sir,

Today morning my computer got stuck while booting & with the massage "Press [TAB] to show POST screen or [DEL] to enter SETUP". After that as per my knowledge I removed the battery for 5 minutes & replaced with new battery also the same.... after that I removed the Jumper & re-fixed also the same.

Please tell me what to do?

Removing the battery and using the jumper will only have set the Bios back to its default settings. I would first run a test on the hard drive as I would suspect the boot sector is corrupt or the drive is faulty. What happens if you press the Tab or Del key when asked? Will it boot into safe mode if you tap the F8 key from the moment you push the power button.

Please provide the details of your PC and the version of windows you are using.

Identify the make of your hard drive and then use one of the links below to get the manufacturers diagnostic for ISO CD. Burn the image file to a CD, boot the PC with the disc in the drive and run the diagnostics. You first need to set the CD drive to 1st in the boot order in the Bios setup.

Booting problem..

I red one of your TechSpot Thread for the same subject and I removed all the devices and re-fixed.. Thank for god now my computer is working..

Sir why this problem occurred?...

My OS MS Windows xp
Motherboard MS 6524 ver:1

But I could not not install any drivers because I lost the driver cd also I tried to download also I could found for free. If u can pls try to send the link for my drivers.

As you have reseated all the componenets and connectors then it is clear that there was a bad connection somewhere.

I assume you mean the motherboard chipset drivers? If so your best place for downloading the drivers is from the manufacturers site (see the link below) this also has an automatic update facility to make the job a lot simply and avoid getting the wrong drivers.
