Right so they have 1/4 of the range at best, take an age to charge to 100% and will be ungodly heavy.

HGVs need to be hydrogen powered. Cars should be too if you’re actually serious about the environment and have a basic understanding of the real world.
Not a Leon or ICE fan but hydrogen has even lower odds of becoming mainstream than EVs ever did.
 
I wonder how range will be affected by the cold winters in northern areas and extreme heat in the southwest which would force more use of the AC. Speaking of AC, no mention was made of how the electrification of the tractor would apply to a reefer trailer or if it does. And if the reefer is refrigerated by battery power, that would put a serious ding in the range.
