Computer Case Hunt

but the sata connection is only a problem for your motherboard. not a problem for the case. correct? if i had my sata connection in a different spot on my motherboard, i wouldn't have to worry about the length of the cables, yes?

but yes. that sounds very awesome indeed. and i like the idea of a filter ^^.

as i mentioned, my current pc picks up massive amounts of dust. and i'd like to avoid experiences like that if possible. so filter == awesome.

and are you sure it comes with that other 120mm with the led at the front? according to newegg, it only comes with that one 250mm. typically it says in the specs that it has however many fans and where they're located....i could be wrong. i assumed that if it said nothing about any pre-installed fans aside from that obvious one, then it had no other fans.

i've looked into that little issue further. according to another buyer, there is only the 250mm installed. so i'll have to buy two more fans. no biggie.

i just have one question. if i chose to install those two fans, how would i have to hook them up? my current motherboard only has one fan power connector. and i can only imagine the new one will have just one as well. will the second one have to use a molex connector? or does the mobo support more than 1 fan?

or should i rely on the instruction manual to tell me how to hook my fans up?

You just look at the motherboard, plug in the fans where it allows, if you are all out, the fans will have molex connectors.

i almost feel stupid for asking that...

*feels like a n00b*

woot! 350th post!

If you like Silverstone take a look at some Antech cases. There about the same price with some great cases.

it might be counterproductive to do so at this point. one of the other posters already found a decent case that i like for almost half the price. and its got good reviews from others. so i'm 90% going for that one. it'll give me a good chance to learn how to install fans.

speaking of which...i'm looking at 2 fans. but i'm not sure if i should get one of each, or two of the other and here's the rationale:

i need two 120mm fans. i found one from Zalman that's got a green led. CFM rating is 39.

the second fan is a Scythe model. S-Flex or whatever it is. it's supposed to be super quiet, and it has a CFM of 63.7.

my question is...would it be safe to install one of each? one pushes twice the air the other one does. would they work well together? or should i get two of the scythe ones?

i wanted a green led because green light with black around it looks very cool. but it doesn't have to be. two of those green leds would bother me at night so...it's one of each, or 2 scythes. problem there is 2 scythes would cost me nearly 50 bucks........yeah.

suggestions?
