Computer makes long beep when starting up

This morning my computer was working fine, but then I restarted it to update, it restarted but then the monitor turns black and the computer makes a long, continuous ‘flat line’ type of beep. I’ve looked up multiple solutions but none of them work, so I’ve come to this forum for help.

Hi You stated that you restarted your computer to install update? What update? Are you running W10? What are the multiple solutions you have tried. Do you have any installation media. You can find the media here that you can create and use to repair or reinstall windows. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/

I was updating a Windows 10 defender update, I’ve tried reseating the RAM, Cleaning all of it, reaseating my GPU, I have a Windows 10 installation disk but when I insert it nothing happens the computer starts up normally with shortcuts to the BIOS, after the the screen goes black and it make a long continuous beep

Hi! Can you boot into safe mode??Can you get into Advanced Start-up Mode.

  1. Start your computer and follow the POST, when Windows should begin loading, press the power button to shutdown your computer.

  2. Repeat the previous step twice, and in the third restart the operating system should enter into the Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE), where a number of diagnostics will be performed to try fix any booting issues, but you will also get an option to access the Windows Startup Settings.
