Computer not turning on!!

my freind has a compaq presario sr1403wm and after she turned it off and unplugged it for a storm and later she tried to turn it on and nothing, there is also a green flashing light on back so can anybody please help to turn it on!!!

read the no POST guide in the guides forum. I hope she had an UPS or a surge protector.

the problem was found out. she lives ina condo and the power plug she was using for the computer is shared by several units and did not have enough power to power the comp so all she had to do was find a main ouitlet and the comp started just fine.

careful with that. Brownouts are lethal to computers. Her best advice is to find a better plug and use an UPS.
