Computer shut down

I have a PCCHIPS M810 Motherboard in the machine.
All goes well when I install Windows XP Professional.
EXCEPT
On shut down ....Windows goes through the shut down process to a blank screen but the machine does not switch off.
Can anyone help, please.

Please have a look at this page:

There are a few M810 versions, please scroll down the page and choose your correct Version

Then proceed to confirm all "Drivers" are up to date
If you are confident enough, you could also update the BIOS (if you do decide on this, take note of all warnings regarding this)
