Computer Won't Budge

Peace, please help!!

When I press the power button, NOTHING HAPPENS. There's no activity in the motherboard or processor or anywhere.. I have disconnected all units except the cpu and mobo.

However, when I unplug the powercord, I hear the brief "ffeuw" noise.. you know, that noise when things power down?

Well, I'm stuck. If I could get some help I'd appreciate it!! THANKS

You are going to have to start some very basic Troubleshooting ,starting with your power supply.
If the fan is running when you try to power up?Is that the whosh sound you mention?
If it is ,next re-check all power connections at MB,and check the small switches on the back of the power supply eg. 110 volts/Power-on.
If these fail replace the PSU or check it in another machine if possible.If you still have aproblem update us with your progress.
But it would be good if you fill in your profile Hardware,O/S etc.
