Connection troubles

A while ago I was installing a mod for World of Warcraft, when I was installing it my computer froze up and I could only move the mouse. After about a minute or 2 it unfroze but I was not able connect to the internet with Internet Explorer, or connect to the itunes store or AIM. I installed firefox and have been using that for a while for my internet browsing now with no problems, but I'd like to be able to use itunes and AIM again. Anyone know what the problem is? Any help would be great.

Try System restore.

becuase of the timing, sounds like the mod contained some kind of virus, especially if the site wasnt reputable (for want of a better way of putting it), scan everything with some good av software.

I've scanned my computer a few times with norton anti-virus and it hasn't found anything.

There's nothing special about connecting to iTunes Store(with your browser)
other than a secured connection on port 443. The iTunes application does
the same thing, I believe. It you can get ANY https:// to open, then iTunes
should too.

An AV package will not find all malware on your system. Download the free version of Spybot S&D and run it in Safe Mode and see if it finds anything. Here is the link:
