Considering upgrade: Win7 Motherboard drivers for Ryzen MoBo's?

I'm investigating upgrading to a new Ryzen-based system (currently using an overclocked 4770k), but I am NOT about to "upgrade" from 64bit Win7 to 64bit Win10 (Lord, what a ghastly OS Win10 has turned out to be!) I'd make the move to Linux before I make Win10 my primary OS.

I know there are ways to get Win7 to work with a Ryzen CPU, but what about the motherboards? They will almost certainly include "Win10 only" drivers.

Any advice is appreciated. TIA

To put it shortly: Download AMD chipset drivers for Ryzen motherboards: https://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows 7 - 64

If you have NVME disk, download also https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...er-support-in-nvm-express-in-windows-7-and-wi

Integrate both to Windows 7 install media (unattended, you may use NTLite or similar program for that) and install.

For drivers for other parts on motherboard, you can very probably find Windows 7 drivers from part manufacturer site if motherboard manufacturer does not offer drivers.

Funny, I never expected AMD to release Win7 Ryzen drivers when they themselves say the cpu "requires" Win10. Ditto for the motherboard makers offering Win7 drivers for Ryzen boards.

Totally unexpected. (y)

Microsoft does not officially support Ryzen on Windows 7 so how AMD could??
