Corsair memory

Hi, I would like to know if I can use corsair value select memory with an AMD 1800 processor? I'm not too sure what type of mother board I have. I am currently running with 512 of memory and want to upgrade to 1gig but don't know if corsair VS memory is compatible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

If your computer is an oem build. I.E Dell/Gateway/HP etc. Go to your computer manufacturers website, and check to see what ram is compatible.

If your computer is a non oem build. Download the free Everest programme from HERE. It will give you lot`s of info about your system, including what mobo you have.

Then, go to your mobo manufacturers website, and check for what types/makes of ram are compatible.

It`s a good idea to make sure that whatever ram you get, that both sticks are exactly the same. Mixing different speeds/makes of ram isn`t really a good idea.
