Yo techies!
I just picked up an old copy of counterstrike (1.0 I think) from a buddy to install on another buddy's brand new PC. It was working perfectly for buddy A last year, but he has since lost interest in CS and did not reinstall it after his last PC reformat. It installed fine on buddy B's computer but it won't grab the update to the 1.6. It just exits the game every time I try. Can someone please help?!?!?!? I've uninstalled and reinstalled both CS and Steam several times with NO success. He purchased Halflife thru Steam and it works perfectly!
