CPU laptop upgrade

My girlfriend have a Toshiba Satellite 5100-201 and just upgraded the RAM to 1GB, I would like to know if this mobo can carry a much higher CPU. I tried to search for specifications of the mobo but unfortunately even the toshiba itself dont carry much information regarding the motherboard.

Currently its running in 1.6GHZ speed but I would like to know if I can upgrade this to 2.4GHZ?

I doubt that very much. The CPU is probably soldered onto the mobo.
Any higher-spec CPU would overheat the insides anyway.
That 1GB memory upgrade is the best you can achieve, perhaps a bigger harddisk, but that again my overheat.
