CPU Usage Spikes

I have downloaded process explorer but have been unable to find a useful tutorial on how to use it to nail down what is using massive amounts of cpu cycles. I have installed the WDK for windows 7 and 8.

I'm running windows 8.1 on my computer with 24 GB of Ram and a i7-4710HQ @2.5ghz

I can't browse the internet without it lagging like crazy.

OK, so I ran windows update and it cleared up, wish I had tried that sooner, please just ignore/delete this
