Hi. I've been using the ultimate boot cd(ubcd) to do partitioning. I'm using ranish to do the partitioning. But there doesn't seem to be an option to let you assign labels to the volumes. How should I do this? Are there other utilities on the disk that will let me do this?

thanks.

Under XP you can do Start >run > cmd > enter> at the prompt enter> label >enter then label the drive that way.

I did it and got this in a DOS box

C:\>dir
Volume in drive C is ididmyc600
Volume Serial Number is 5CD6-3AB2

Directory of C:\

As doing it from the disk pass, I used this a few times but never investigated it fully.

Regards
