CS:S Low FPS on new laptop, need help

Specs:
ASPIRE 7551G-5407
AMD Phenom 2 Triple Core 2.1 GHz
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650
4 GB Memory

I figured I would get more then 25-30 constant FPS in counter-strike : source with this set up. After I installed directx 9.0 I was getting 90+ for a minute then it went back down. I dont get it..Anybody know what might be the problem?

Make sure your laptop is plugged in. Check your power settings mode, usually like a "battery saver" or "high performance". Stick it on the high. Your laptop might be powering down. Acer also has it's own power management software, check that to.
