David newcomer, my pc/soundcard

hello there,my name is david and my question is when i go to turn on my computer my keyboard/mouse and monitor fails to operate w i t h my creative soundblaster soundcard plugged in . however when i disconnect my soundcard my computer turns on allright,is this strange or common. any suggestions please thank-you for your time.

Either faulty soundcard (hardware)
Or compatability issue with your hardware and the sound card.

Just get another (different) PCI sound card

did you turn OFF any onboard audio in your BIOS (if applicable)?

Did you install the drivers?

If both do not apply, your card is bad or incompatible.
