DDR5 memory kits reach $400, and most have sold out

I am glad there are so many out there that are so willing to fund the future of computing. My children thank you!

8C/16T CPU and 32GB RAM is the sweet spot today, if you want it to last for the next few years without problem.

We have not yet seen true next gen games, made for PC/PS5/XSX yet. These will come in 2022+

I expect 6C/6T CPUs to get same problems that Quads had for the last years (low minimums) however 6C/12T might also see lower minimum fps compared to 8C/16T.

I'd not build a PC for AAA gaming with less than 8 cores, 16 threads and 32 gigs of RAM today that is for sure.
6/6 has low issues? Since when? Quad core i3s still get over 60 FPS in 1% minimums per techspot's testing.

So much green venom in the comments on this site when it reports on enthusiast products selling out at enthusiast prices.

Yeah it’s bad value but there are a lot of rich PC gamers out there. If you earn enough money then spending this sort of cash on PC kit isn’t stupid. I mean there are far far more expensive hobbies out there, have you ever heard of motorsport or yachting or horse riding etc, all make PC gaming feel like a cheap night out!

Chill, be happy for people being the first getting their hands on DDR5.
That is such a déjà vu cliché, if you pardon my French! We're in the middle on the worst economic crisis in the history of Capitalism, for some of us the bills for electricity and gas have MORE THAN TRIPLED (some are 7 times what they used to be 1 year ago), there is rampant inflation, including for PC components, and you are talking about how rich are some rich people. Get the...outta here!

Sure, it’s not mature and yes it has a very high price. This sort of thing interests enthusiasts.

Are you really so limited you can’t understand why early adopters adopt products early?

Are you unaware that people exist who have enough money to be able to buy these things without it affecting their life in any way?

Come on dude, let go of the hate.
Right now we are sharpening the blades of our guillotines, that's how much we love the rich.

Let me repeat it then. Rich people exist, they buy expensive newly released tech products.

If this truth upsets you then you have issues dude.

What can I say? Those without issues will inherit the Earth. I hope you have enough food and water and PC components and video games in our bright future! May you live in interesting times!

Who's talking about 60 fps..
i5-8600K at 5 GHz bottlenecks a 2080 Ti in BF V.
As in delivers much lower minimums than even 8700K with it's 6C/12T or newer CPUs like 9900K, 5800X, 5900X, 10900K, 11900K.

You might be fine with 60 fps, alot of gamers are not. I'm using 240 Hz at 1440p and I don't ever want to see 60 fps, 100 is bare minimum, goal is 150-200 fps.

Even back in Crysis 3, from 2013, 6C/6T performed worse than 6C/12T and you say 6C/6T is still fine in 2021? Hahha 😂
